The game includes the original EverQuest II, plus Desert of Flames, Kingdom of Sky, Echoes of Faydwer and Rise of Kunark. Shadows of Odyssey is not just a bundled pack; the game includes 20 new zones with new quests and objects. The new equipment is necessary for players to level in the new zones, but it is not hard for newbies to start on them either. This is made by a very specific balance for new and veteran players, so this expansion pack is made for everyone. The new quests and challenges are very different from the previous packages. Puzzles substitute brute force in many quests, making them challenging and entertaining.
